Fall Must Haves 2019

September is here which means that fall is right around the corner and so is fall fashion (my favourite). I feel like fall fashion gets even more basic every year and I don’t know if its the weather or because of the dread of winter, but everyone starts to somewhat lean into the basic, pumpkin spice sipping part of themselves. I’m guilty of this too, especially as the weather moves from 70 degrees to 50. That’s why this post is one of my favourite to write because I feel like I’m motivating myself as well as those who read. Down below are my top four non basic must haves for your upcoming autumn season.
1. Sweater Sets
Sweater sets are probably the most comfortable yet flattering outfits for the autumn season. They work well for just about any event and can be found in so many places for so many different price ranges which I love. These sets also vary in everything from colors to fit to style which means that you can buy one that looks completely different from the one I’m about to buy right now. They also are SO versatile. You can dress them up with heels for a dinner date or dress them down with your favourite sneakers for going to class. I am in love with how many ways you can make sweater sets cute while staying warm this fall. Zara, OhPolly, and Meshki will have you covered (and they’re always having sales too).

2. Headwraps
These are probably my absolute favorite accessories for the season just because they have so many different functions and uses while still being very European fashion esque which I absolutely love. They can be worn in so many ways including on the top of your head and tied out or on the middle-ish part of your head with your hair as the focal part and tied more inward. These two ways are the easiest to wear it, in my opinion, and also the most put together. What I love about this is that you can literally completely change your whole look with just adding a printed headwrap. My favorites can be found at Zara, H&M, and ASOS all for super cheap prices with beautiful patterns.

3. Trousers
I know that “trousers” sounds like a British 55 year old man hijacked this post and started writing but I really am talking about trousers. Even though they used to be more specific to the workplace, this trend for bottoms is making a comeback and I am loving it. The length is perfect for the cold season without being skinny or mom jeans because how many times a week can you wear those jeans right? And they range in a million colors from neon to neutrals to pastels which means that so many different colors will pair with so many different things. They also have varying detailing on the pants themselves from belt loops to cargo pockets which means you can buy a couple of these and look like you’re wearing different pants everyday. Head to Missguided or Storets to find reasonably priced pairs of these bottoms.

4. Oversized Blazers
Transitioning into fall means that you never know what coat or jacket to wear. It may be 50 degrees outside or 75 and in the past, it had been really hard to find one coat that can do the job during both types of days for me. Oversized blazers are the answers to my unknown prayers— I’m telling you, they work for the chillier days and the warmer ones. They also are so cute and dress up any outfit so that everything looks put together and ready for whatever day you have ahead of you. NAKD Fashion and Zara have the best options that include both lighter and heavier jackets for whatever weather your autumn day is gonna have.

I love all of these items because of their ability to be versatile for the weird autumn weather we have coming up and also because they're super accessible and affordable. Next time you're out and about grab some of these pieces to spice up your autumn wardrobe. Happy shopping!!
