Because it’s gotten colder, I know that getting up in the morning and looking halfway decent to class isn’t your priority (it’s more of something you wish could happen but seems too hard) and  I completely get it. Why would I take the time to put in effort and wear jeans when I could just wear sweatpants? And I honestly, completely relate. But as the last month has gone on, I’ve found ways to stay comfy, look like I tried, and completely get away with it. I promise it’s easier than you think.

1. Dressing Up Your Fav Sweatpants

This is by far the most comfy and easy outfit on this list because you can literally wear the sweatpants you were sleeping in (I know right). If the pants are on the baggier side, add a tighter long sleeve (or short, if you like to freeze) that’s more on the cropped side. If your pants are on the tighter side, the fitted long sleeve works but you can also try a loose cropped shirt, depending on (again) how cold you are trying to be. Throw on some of your fav sneakers and a jacket (my favorite for this outfit are Teddy Coats or, if you’re like me, leather jackets) and you’re good to go. I guarantee this outfit would take you a total of 5 minutes so you don’t need to set your alarm as early as you do right now.

2. Same Jeans 2 Days in a Row?

If you do feel like you can force yourself to change out of your pajamas, first, kudos, and second,  why not wear your favorite jeans? And if you’re saying oh I wore them yesterday, think again. The easiest way to wear your fav jeans a million days in a row is just by changing the entire look. I have these black jeans that I LOVE but because they have some rips, they’re easily spotted, which means if I wanna wear them multiple days in a row I wear something totally different. For example, adding a hoodie with a leather jacket or even denim jacket completely transforms the look while still making you feel so comfy because it’s just a hoodie. This is my go to because you can wear the hoodie you wore to bed and still feel so warm, so why wouldn’t you?

3.  Sweatpants… and Boots?

Okay, hear me out. Think of your fav tight sweats (baggier ones may look a little much in this situation) and then think of your fav boots. While what you’re specifically thinking about may not work in your head, picture this: tight sweatpants, a pair of boots (my favorites include my Jeffery Campbells or Doc Martens), and a tight, cropped long sleeve. Looks like a little better right? This may be a little harder for some people but for the girls who have the pieces, TRY IT. I’ve tried it with my Jeffery Campbells, gray Adidas sweatpants, and a gray Shein long sleeve crop. It works but it may be a little edgier then you’re used to, and if that’s the case then try what’s down below.

These outfits are probably what I’ve worn all week especially because its midterm season. But I promise you, they’re as simple and comfortable as you’re thinking right now. So don’t stress the next time your alarm goes off and you’re late or when you physically can’t get out of bed because you already have your outfit figured out. Happy shopping!!

September is here which means that fall is right around the corner and so is fall fashion (my favourite). I feel like fall fashion gets even more basic every year and I don’t know if its the weather or because of the dread of winter, but everyone starts to somewhat lean into the basic, pumpkin spice sipping part of themselves. I’m guilty of this too, especially as the weather moves from 70 degrees to 50. That’s why this post is one of my favourite to write because I feel like I’m motivating myself as well as those who read. Down below are my top four non basic must haves for your upcoming autumn season.

1. Sweater Sets

Sweater sets are probably the most comfortable yet flattering outfits for the autumn season. They work well for just about any event and can be found in so many places for so many different price ranges which I love. These sets also vary in everything from colors to fit to style which means that you can buy one that looks completely different from the one I’m about to buy right now. They also are SO versatile. You can dress them up with heels for a dinner date or dress them down with your favourite sneakers for going to class. I am in love with how many ways you can make sweater sets cute while staying warm this fall. Zara, OhPolly, and Meshki will have you covered (and they’re always having sales too).

2. Headwraps

These are probably my absolute favorite accessories for the season just because they have so many different functions and uses while still being very European fashion esque which I absolutely love. They can be worn in so many ways including on the top of your head and tied out or on the middle-ish part of your head with your hair as the focal part and tied more inward. These two ways are the easiest to wear it, in my opinion, and also the most put together. What I love about this is that you can literally completely change your whole look with just adding a printed headwrap. My favorites can be found at Zara, H&M, and ASOS all for super cheap prices with beautiful patterns.

3. Trousers

I know that “trousers” sounds like a British 55 year old man hijacked this post and started writing but I really am talking about trousers. Even though they used to be more specific to the workplace, this trend for bottoms is making a comeback and I am loving it. The length is perfect for the cold season without being skinny or mom jeans because how many times a week can you wear those jeans right? And they range in a million colors from neon to neutrals to pastels which means that so many different colors will pair with so many different things. They also have varying detailing on the pants themselves from belt loops to cargo pockets which means you can buy a couple of these and look like you’re wearing different pants everyday. Head to Missguided or Storets to find reasonably priced pairs of these bottoms.

4. Oversized Blazers

Transitioning into fall means that you never know what coat or jacket to wear. It may be 50 degrees outside or 75 and in the past, it had been really hard to find one coat that can do the job during both types of days for me. Oversized blazers are the answers to my unknown prayers— I’m telling you, they work for the chillier days and the warmer ones. They also are so cute and dress up any outfit so that everything looks put together and ready for whatever day you have ahead of you. NAKD Fashion and Zara have the best options that include both lighter and heavier jackets for whatever weather your autumn day is gonna have.

I love all of these items because of their ability to be versatile for the weird autumn weather we have coming up and also because they're super accessible and affordable. Next time you're out and about grab some of these pieces to spice up your autumn wardrobe. Happy shopping!!

As summer comes to a close and labor day approaches, it also comes time for the last time most of us will be wearing swimsuits in the near future, which I honestly think is pretty sad. I personally am in love with summer and everything that comes with it, including all the beach days and poolside parties (minus the humidity), so saying goodbye to bikini season just makes me look forward to next summer even more. Labor Day is also quickly on the horizon which means pool parties or at least something near the water will be happening during your three day weekend. If you’re looking to take a few more summer themed pictures for your feed or just want a new suit, you’re in luck because down below are my favorite brands for swimsuits all year long.

1. White Fox Boutique

You’ve probably heard of them through Instagram or influencers, but White Fox Swim is one of my favorite go tos for bathing suits for so many reasons, including that they make suits with the same pattern in so many different styles which I LOVE. On some sites, I’d find patterns or colors on suits that were to die for but the styles just weren’t flattering on me or vice versa. White Fox seamlessly combines so many patterns with styles so you can always find what fits you best, which is what I love about them. Their suits can be a bit pricey but they always deliver a perfect fit that I’m sure you’ll love just as much as I do.

2. Khassani Swimwear

This is my favourite swim brand period. Their line, their mission, their everything is EVERYTHING. The company’s founders are huge inspirations to me and they are so motivated by creating clothing that empowers women and that make women feel confident in their own skin. While not all of their designs are unique, they are always on trend with the absolute best quality and include details that these same suits may not have elsewhere, which I really appreciate. And while their prices might be higher than I like, they are probably the highest quality suits I own. Their bikinis are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone so be sure to be finding when all their collections drop.

3. Lounge Swim

From the creators of Lounge Underwear, comes Lounge Swim which I guarantee is just as amazing as the underwear brand itself. The quality and the sheer simplicity of the brand is what I think sets them apart as a swimwear company. My favourite aspect of buying from Lounge is also the fact that you can buy a bikini sold together with different size. What I mean is that you can buy a top and bottom of a suit as two different sizes if you don’t wear the same size on your top and bottom, which I think is amazing. The cuts of their suits are also so flattering and their line ranges for so many body types which I LOVE. Lounge swim is definitely a go to for me and I guarantee that they will be a staple for your swim needs this labor day weekend.

4. OhPolly Swim

@ohpollyswim

You’ve probably seen them everywhere but that is because OhPolly’s creativity is unmatched. Their suits have single handedly started trends in swimwear and the British company has normalized curvy swimwear in a way that makes women want to buy absolutely everything on their site. From implementing neon suits to different metals as straps to cutouts in places you’d never expect, OhPolly is an innovator in swimwear, which is why I love them. They are anything BUT basic and wearing their suits make me feel like I am put together even if I’m only at the pool or the beach.

5. Disruptive Youth Co.

If you’re looking for suits that are quality but have a simplistic look about them (while still being cheap), then Disruptive Youth Co. is what you need in your life. The company sells simple, quality bikinis that are actually reasonably priced and in SO many colors. The choices for mixing and matching is endless and they have a really informative sizing guide that actually helps and isn’t totally pointless. Disruptive Youth really has the essential basics you need to start a swimsuit collection because its actually quality and even if it’s a string bikini, it won’t break on you (like other companies, @Shein). They also have the perfect fitting bottoms in my opinion and can fit any body perfectly which I absolutely love.

All of these swim brands are my all time favourites in terms of style, quality, and even price. They are worth every penny and I think that every girl should know that there are brands out there that fit their style and/or body type. No matter what you're looking for, at least one of these brands are for you and I can guarantee you'll love them. Happy shopping!
